Cash Mod 2.2.3

In light of certain changes to phpBB between 2.0.17 and 2.0.18, it has come to my attention that for certain automated installers, portions of the Cash Mod Installation process will fail.

In light of this, I have updated Cash Mod to version 2.2.3, and submitted it to the phpBB MOD Validation Team.

In addition to being 2.0.18 compliant, Cash Mod 2.2.3 boasts several other primary changes:

  • 8 new language packs

    In addition to English, French, and Dutch, we now have the following languages included:

    • Chinese Traditional (Taiwan)
    • Czech
    • German
    • Italian
    • Norwegian
    • Portuguese (Brazilian)
    • Russian
    • Spanish

    I’m glad to see there is such a great international interest in Cash Mod! If you want to submit Cash Mod translations in your native language, feel free to let me know, and i’ll give you an address you can email your translations to, I’d love to see even more translations be available for Cash Mod users

  • Events fix
    A few people have taken to testing out the API, including the events code. There was a bug in that I had specified an include() before a define() it was dependent on, which caused some errors. I’ve moved the include() back past the define() now, so all should be good.
  • Installation Error Messages
    If you fail to install Cash Mod properly, there are a few error messages that you’re likely to run into quicker and faster than any others. I’ve altered these error messages to give better hints regarding what must be done to complete the installation
  • DIY Instructions
    As per EasyMod finally includes the manual instructions block that i’ve been lobbying for, i’m making use of it to flash up front to the user that they need to run that sql_install.php script, otherwise it will break things in unfortunate and unpleasant ways

Anyway, it should hopefully be released soon on phpBB.com

    hello .. there’s a problem at viewtopic. i can’t see cash amount in viewtopic though i can see cash amount at user profile & member list.
    my phpBB is 2.0.20.
    how can i solve that problem ?

    When I configure the points or for author of topic, or reply, or for caracter, has one option:

    Profit maximum for message: I stipulate a value, for example, 0.4

    Being that the points for author of topic I stipulated 0.5

    When the person it goes post, gains the points maximum: 0.4, but when I making the count of the points (reset), appears the values stipulated for author, caracter, answers. All values correct.

    Because in the hour that the person answers or creates a topic don’t gain the correct points and yes a maximum for message?

    Cash Mod was really simple to install using Easy Mod and is a great idea. I installoed it for use with Rabbitoshi but see many uses. There is one thing that puzzles me, why was the allowance facilty discontinued and now needs the cash mod allowance plug in. I have searched everywhere for the plug in file but cannot find anywhere.

    Please can anuone help?

    FIRST: I must say that I read EVERY support link and website I could find for the last 4 days. I noted that in the read file of the cash mod it stated to read all first before asking questions.

    I currently have PHP-Nuke 7.9 and have started a new site with it that I am currently installing all mods and extras for.

    I wanted to use the Cash Mod for the members in the forum to have a good time with by using the cash to buy things from a shop (which i have not yet installed) and play casino type games.

    The problem is I installed a “theme pack” called NoteBored000. I love this theme but perhaps it is not compatible with cash mod?

    When I installed cash mod version 221 I was able to get it all installed and was able to see the cash admin in the forum control panel. However, when I click on it, nothing happens a blank page comes up.

    Also when a member goes to the forum and clicks on “view topic” it is blanked out by the background of the forum….weird.

    I don’t know what to do but I HATE the subsilver template and I wish someone could tell me what I need to upgrade or what theme packs for php-nuke are compatible with this cash mod.

    I could not understand how to install the easy mod. it was too difficult for me.

    Any suggestions? I’ve been working at this non-stop for 4 days. I’m about to give it up. I’ll never resort to subsilver–that’s got to be the UGLIEST template around.

    One last note: I tried installing the cash mod 223 but was unable to run the sql file from my browser. I use MySQL but am not real familiar with running queries. It’s much easier for me to just click on import from myPHPAdmin and import an sql file. I cannot, however import a “php” file and run an sql query on that. I need an sql file. The 221 version’s sql_install.php worked just fine, however when I tried running 223’s version of sql_install.php from my browser a number of errors came up and I could not do it. And yes, I CHMOD’d the file. So I dont know what the heck to do. GOSH THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING. =) Please, let me know if you can help or suggest a theme or upgrade that would allow this to work.     Hi,

    Has anyone came up with a simple way to prevent someone from earning credit for replying to their own topic? Other people should still be able to earn credit for replying in that same topic. If not, would this be easy to code? I have the cash mod installed, I just need to tweak it to fit my application.

    Seems that you aren’t updating the cash mod api documentation…
