For extremely large values of n

Xore

Stormclouds sweep overhead, covering the world in a premature twilight darkness. The lights go out, one by one, until blackness reigns supreme, one cannot see even the shadows that gather on the edges of vision, mocking and elusive.

n has returned

a year ago, i was lost under it’s spell, like the shade of Sisyphus doomed forever to roll a boulder uphill, so was i doomed to forever cast myself again and again against the brick wall, and… walljump.

n is a 2-d puzzle game wherein you are a ninja. Your weapons are your extreme dexterity and mental agility. Your mission: to find your way out of the cruel mazes life has placed you in. However, your lifespan is all of 90 seconds to traverse 5 levels, a lifespan which can be extended by collecting gold which all the world knows ninjas love. Against you are arrayed thousands of traps and killer robots who love nothing better than destroying you.

I beat n, version 1.2 when it was 30 levels, and when version 1.3 came out, i was one of the first 20 people (online) to beat all 60. Recently, i’ve discovered that n 1.4 has been released, with another 40 episodes, totalling 100 episodes of 5 levels each. The danger was not realized until i learned how to get it running smoothly under linux (nice -n 20 != nice -n -20). Curse you Travis!!!
