Consumer whores and places that smell like butter

Xore

Every once in a while, i’m forced out into that big blue dome to do things that are loosely bound under the big brown “social necessity” umbrella. It makes me wish i were more antisocial than i am already. It makes me feel like a consumer whore.

Today, I spent more money than i could realisitically afford, to buy something i’d sworn i’d never get, to let a lot of people i don’t want to talk to, talk to me whenever they want to. Yes, my friends… I got a cellphone. I signed up with Vancouver fido, on a two year plan and got one of these sony ericsson things… It looks like a remote control on crack. Presumably, lots of people will be able to call me now because of it… Family, friends, clients, mobs of sex-starved ex-girlfriends… you know. The usual.

I was in Lions Bay for a client yesterday, the area is beautiful. Getting out of the car, i found myself in a world of green. it even smells green, there’s so much plantage/foliage/”foilage” in the area. It’s kinda crazy. Where I live (inside my house anyways), it mostly smells like cat and, for some odd reason, butter. I wish i had a camera to bring along and take a few snapshots. The roadwork up to Whistler for the 2010 Olympic ruins it a bit though, unfortunately.

I also took a crack at a Self-Referential Aptitude Test recently. I got it mostly right, except i got the “alternate answer” … I sorta find that the last question is subjective… and as such, the responses for questions 19 and 20 are interchangeable. Interesting puzzle though. Neothermic got it a lot quicker than i did. Bastard.

    Cell phones = teh suck.

Have I ever said how much I hate them?

    Meh,
    ……. congrats?

Don’t worry about the consumer whore thing, if you think you are, think about the people who don’t even worry about, those are the sluts of the bussiness world.

Oh, and butter is the source of all taste… more butter = more taste ;)

Sony Erricson are the best phones, nokia ones are ****. Don’t feel bad, I’m probably more anti-social than you and have had a mobile phone since early 2003. I never get any calls :( , nor do I place calls. I always end up snowballing credit as I top it up at the end of 3 or 6 months just so Telstra don’t steal the money, not that I personally pay for it either, hehe.

You’d only be a consumer whore if you went out and got a new phone every 6 months as fashion dictates. Or change the cover of a nokia phone every week to keep trendy (ewww).
